Aisling Bea
Aisling was born on 16 March 1984 at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. The comedian has been on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011after having appeared in small parts on several Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. In 2012 Bea began appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. The actress began to appear regularly in panel shows following her win of an award for in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's an extremely popular contestant on its sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, the actress was blessed with one sister called Sinead. In 2012 she became the only woman in history to be awarded the So You think you're Funny award. Bea is her name in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Born on the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who killed himself at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she was thirteen. Bea was her stage name. Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 about her experiences dealing with suicide. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and an ex-professional jockey. The family was awed by racing, horses as well as the race industry. In her youth Bea was an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing for a profession, but instead loved performing.
